Baby Food Basics
While making baby food may seem like something best left to the professionals, it is actually extremely simple and can be done with just a little preparation and your trusty Solo Blend.
Here are a few helpful tips:
Spinach, Apple, and Potato
Bring potatoes and apples to a boil in water, them reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes or until soft. Add spinach and cook until tender, but still vibrant green. Let the mixture cool, then blend in batches and store safely.
Bring two inches of water to a boil in a medium saucepan, then place fish, carrots, and leeks into a steamer basket. Cover and let steam 15 minutes. After cooling, transfer to your blender and add the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth and strain if necessary.
Cheery Cherry Yogurt Blend
Add cherries to a small saucepan with water and cook on medium low until tender (about 10 minutes). Transfer just the cherries (leave the juice) into your blender with the yogurt. Blend until smooth, adding cherry liquid when needed.
